Leasehold properties often attract ground rent and service charges and these are likely to apply throughout your ownership of the property. We will confirm the ground rent and the anticipated service charge as soon as we receive this information. There may be other disbursements set out in the lease relating to the property and we will update you on the specific fees upon receipt and review of the lease. There will be additional fees if we are instructed to draft a new lease.
Expenses and Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as Land Registry fees. We handle the payment of these on your behalf to ensure a compliant and smooth process.

However, if you are buying a leasehold property that requires an extension of the lease, and you are buying with a mortgage, this will take significantly longer, averaging two and four months. In such a situation additional charges may apply.
The precise stages involved in the sale or purchase of a residential property vary according to the circumstances, but we have set out below some of the key stages:

When you telephone our team, they will give you a tailored estimate based on the information you provide and any changes to this will be supplied to you in writing prior to the additional work being done.
