A lease can vary in length and can cover both short periods of time or up to 999 years and they set out the rights and obligations of both landlords and tenants.

Buying or selling a leasehold property is often more complicated than freehold property conveyancing, as the buyer’s solicitor will require more information otherwise not required with a freehold property. Our conveyancing team are able to assist both buyers and sellers of leasehold properties.

Our team can also assist with explaining terms of a lease to either a landlord or tenant. We can also assist with lease extensions and offer advice regarding the obligations and rights which leases may involve.
