Job Description: As a Trainee Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and training in various areas of law under the guidance of our experienced solicitors. This two-year training contract will provide you with hands-on experience in legal research, drafting legal documents, attending client meetings, and assisting with case preparations. You will work closely with senior solicitors and have exposure to a diverse range of cases, allowing you to develop a comprehensive understanding of the legal profession.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
  • Assisting solicitors in drafting legal documents, contracts, and pleadings
  • Attending client meetings, court hearings, and other legal proceedings
  • Collaborating with colleagues to provide comprehensive legal advice and support
  • Managing case files, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Staying updated on relevant legal developments and participating in professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • LLB or equivalent law degree
  • Completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC), or the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE)
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client confidentiality
  • Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Please note that completion of the LPC or SQE is not necessary but is advantageous.
